Providing insight into my role as Junior Partnership Manager at Happy Mag through the description of my role, my campaigns, KPIs and strategies used to push artists to thrive in the music scene.

As a writer at Happy Mag, I would write News pieces, entertainment and pop culture pieces, feature articles and artist campaigns. I acquired a strong understanding of the fast-paced journalist environment as we competed with many deadlines throughout the day. I utilized my knowledge of WordPress while conducting these pieces. I developed a strong proficiency in web publishing by effectively navigating the platform and formatting content in aesthetically pleasing and professional layouts that were accessible and cohesive to our brand. I mastered skills in implementing the most impactful methods for search engine optimization. It strengthened my ability to optimize articles for search engines, carefully select keywords, and use SEO plugins effectively. This analytical tool enhanced my skills in categorizing and tagging articles, scheduling posts and competently contributing to the well-organized structure of the website.

 

I obtained an operative relationship with multimedia integration as I incorporated elements such as videos, images and hyperlinks to amplify visual engagement and held a strong commitment to verify it was all formatted correctly. Through accomplishing strong expertise with WordPress, I have encompassed an adaptable ability to transfer these skills onto different online publications and content management systems.

Junior Partnerships Manager 

In my role as Junior Partnerships Manager at Happy Mag, I actively engaged with the music scene, establishing and nurturing strong connections within the music industry through a variety of strategies. My primary focus was centered around band outreach, accomplished through consistent and effective communication with local emerging artists, music managers and PR agents. I streamlined a synergistic rapport between these connections and Happy Mag. Driven by a combination of key performance indicators and a genuine enthusiasm for promoting emerging artists, I proactively engaged with a significant number of artists daily. Consistent outreach allowed me to obtain a meticulous understanding of the nuances of the local music scene and the specific promotional interests of individual artists. To manage these interactions effectively, I maintained a detailed backlog spreadsheet, which served as a thorough reference for artists who had expressed interest in collaborating or had upcoming releases and events. As collaboration and communication were pivotal in the foundation of the partnerships team, I consistently met with colleagues on the sales team. These meetings were implemented to prioritize campaigns, align our values and tasks and foster relationships with PR agents and other publications. In addition, we utilized these sessions to brainstorm more effective approaches to further our connection with the local music scene. Once campaigns were finalized, I undertook the responsibility of formatting and submitting invoices for the artists, securing a smooth financial transaction. Additionally, I set up band campaign schedules through a shared calendar system, which guaranteed informed coordination across the entire Happy Mag team as it synchronized specific roles and tasks. During the execution of these campaigns, I collaborated closely with the artists and their releases to produce engaging, meaningful and authentic content.

 

 Our campaigns comprised a range of elements to productively and impactfully promote these emerging creatives: 

 

Albums/Single/Artist Reviews: These offered in-depth insight into the artists' music.

Curated Pieces: This option created a flexible vision for writers and artists to collaborate on content that resonated with the artist's passions or interests.

Interviews: Conducting interviews provided an intriguing opportunity to delve into the artist's background, creative process, and the underlying meanings behind their music. These conversations enriched our content and established an authentic connection with the featured artists.

By grasping multifaceted elements into our campaigns, we successfully promoted numerous up-and-coming artists through the integration of expressive and articulate write-ups, meticulous social media engagement and curated playlists.
